About Us
The Seventh Day Congregation Eddy is a church located in Eddy, Texas. Every worker is a volunteer to include the clergy. Our teachings include that both the Old and New Testaments are valid. Our church beliefs include the keeping of the seventh day Sabbath and the holy days- Passover, Days of Unleavened Bread, Pentecost, Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, Feast of Tabernacles, and The Last Great Day. We do not participate in the pagan holidays of New Years, Christmas, Easter, and Halloween.
Our church members believe that we are saved by grace through faith, but we are also to follow the laws of Almighty God through grace.
Our church recognizes there are four types of laws: sacrificial, ceremonial, moral, and health laws. Our High Priest, Jesus the Christ, is the greatest sacrifice stopping the need forever for the sacrifice of animals for sins. The ceremonial laws that still apply are now done in Heaven by our High Priest, Jesus. The moral laws are the ten commandments and the health laws include the laws of cleanliness and also the food rules. Jesus proclaimed in Matthew 5:18 “18For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.” Therefore, no laws are done away. Our High Priest has fulfilled the sacrificial laws and is currently doing the applicable ceremonial laws.
You are always welcome at our Seventh Day Sabbath and Holy Day assemblies.
