Feast of Trumpets is celebrated on the 1st day of the seventh lunar month, and the scripture states: “23The LORD said to Moses, “24Say to the Israelites: ‘On the first day of the seventh month you are to have a day of Sabbath rest, a sacred assembly commemorated with trumpet blasts. 25Do no regular work, but present a food offering to the LORD.’ Leviticus 23:23-25.” This holy day is a rehearsal of our Messiah’s return to the earth to resurrect His saints. “6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. Revelation 20:6” With His saints, He will rule the world for one thousand years and then through eternity. An assembly of the church members is done on this feast day. The celebration is sounded by the blowing of ram’s horn trumpets.
